Hi I'm Chuck

I'm a Mormon. I grew up going to a Christian Church but began searching for the missing part.

About Me

Married 46 years with 8 children, 25 grandchildren and 1 ggc. Lived in Las Vegas, NV for past 12 years. Have lived in TX, CA, ID, SC, WA, UT & NV. 7 years submarines as Machinest Mate and worked for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 15 years as a Nuclear and Mech. Eng. Depts. Sales & Manager for 3 PEO's. Recently spent 6 great years with Marriott's Vacation Club. Senior Missionary in GA/FL for Mormon Church.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up attending the Methodist Church because that's where my parents went. I felt as though something was missing and even doubted there was a God and a right religion as many of my friends had different beliefs. As I grew older and studied religions in my late 20's I boiled it down to the Catholics who had the Priestood thru Peter or the Mormons who had it restored. I felt better that it was restored along with many other revelations.

How I live my faith

I try to live it each hour instead of just Sundays. It is a challange but then a religion that does not ask for all sacrifices would not be God's Church. I have made many mistakes in life but because the Holy Ghost had bore witness to me that as I truely repent and ask God to forgive me that my sins, weaknesses and mistakes have been forgiven. It's a great feeling to partake of the Sacrament each week and know my sins since my baprism are also forgiven as this life is a test where we can fail but learn our lesson and move on.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Mormons know that families can be forever because going thru life together all those years with suffering, sharing and raising a family and then having it all end does not make any sense. Most marriage vows are "to death do us part." We go to the Temple to be sealed to our family for time and eternity and if all our family lives the life we are taught about in the Church and have repented we can become an Eternal Family. Life is not easy and marriage takes a lot of forgiveness on 2 peoples part. Single people can also receive these same blessings as God is very concerned all His children so ask the Missionaries to explain this to you. Show more Show less
