Hi I'm Mitch

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a lovely wife, five beautiful children, two divine granddaughters and an angelic new grandson. I'm a trial lawyer. I represent people who have been injured in accidents and I also represent gun owners in various legal matters. My son and I have just published a book about the self-defense laws of all 50 states. I love to hunt and participate in other shooting sports. I enjoy being in the mountains of Utah and love the smell of damp sagebrush on a crisp morning.

Why I am a Mormon

As I was preparing to go to law school and take the entrance exam, I prepared by reading the most difficult literature I could find. A friend gave me a Book of Mormon. I thought it would be as difficult to understand as the Bible, but it turned out not to be. As I read it, I noticed how good its messages made me feel. I soon recognized those feelings as the Spirt of God revealing to me that what I was reading was true scripture, preserved for people in our day and age. The passages of scripture in the Book of Mormon touched me deep within my soul and, with prayer, I began to know that it was from God. See Alma Chapter 32, verses 21 through the end of the chapter. Although I believed in God as a child, by the time I got to college, I was not a particularly religious person. The Book of Mormon helped me find God again in my life. As I look back on my life and my marriage, I can't imagine how difficult life would have been for me, my wife and my children without the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I thank my Heavenly Father every day for his tender mercies.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ over 30 years. I was privileged to go on a 2 year mission to Switzerland before I graduated from law school. Upon returning from my mission and going to law school, I met my wife and we had 5 children in 9 years. All the while we both served in various positions in the Church which allowed us to use the lessons we have learned in life and in the scriptures to serve other people. I served as a Temple worker for 9 years which was a huge, spiritual blessing. Although our children are all grown, we spend as much time with them and our grandchildren as we can. It is a great comfort to us that we can be with our families throughout all eternity if we live worthily.
