Hi I'm Holly

I love being outdoors. I am a pharmacist. I am a busy mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to spend time outside riding bikes, gardening, hiking, & camping. I feel closer to God when I am surrounded by nature. I met my husband while backpacking one summer during college. We love spending time outside, even if we're just going for a walk. I'm a pharmacist at a hospital in Phoenix, where I enjoy caring for other people. I also appreciate the flexibility of my job, which allows me to spend most of my time at home. I love being a mother. My husband and children are my best friends and most precious possessions.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized when I was eight years old. I had a testimony then, but I distinctly remember praying about the Book of Mormon when I was a young teenager and receiving an answer that it is true. It was then I realized my testimony was strong enough to sustain me. I know that doing what is right sometimes feels hard, but it is worth it because it brings happiness.

How I live my faith

I value my relationship with Jesus Christ. It is important to pray and read the scriptures daily to maintain a feeling of spirituality in my life. The knowledge of the gospel helps me to have an optimistic perspective and keep my life in balance.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Faith is a beautiful thing. Like a seed, it can be small. Faith begins by believing Jesus exists and that He loves us. Next, we must use faith to do something ... pray, serve others, or make a change in ourselves. When we do, we feel good. We see a positive change in our lives. Our faith grows and we continue to follow Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Life is about searching for truth. And it is a personal search. For spiritual truth, you must study to learn more about something, then ask God through prayer if it is true. God is the source of all truth, and he can tell you personally if something is really true.  Show more Show less

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Our belief in eternal marriage and eternal families is one of the most beautiful doctrines of our church. I love my family and when I imagine what heaven is like, I can only picture it with them there. Building relationships is a lot of work, but it is worth it because those relationships aren't temporary. They can last forever. I know that this perspective has made my commitment to my husband and family stronger. I love my family and I look forward to spending the rest of eternity with all of them--my husband, my children, my parents and my grandparents. Show more Show less

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

No. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches people true principles about the gospel of Jesus Christ. This helps people become better citizens wherever they live, become involved in serving in their communities, and better govern themselves. The church does not encourage its members to participate in a specific political party or endorse any one candidate. Members should form their own opinions about who will represent them best and take advantage of the freedoms they enjoy to vote and participate in the political process. Show more Show less
