Hi I'm Nick

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for three years and am loving life with my wife, daughter and am excited for a boy to join our family soon! I graduated from college with a bachelors degree in computer science, and am now working full time as a software developer and loving it! I love to do genealogy! I love learning about who my ancestors were and what kind of people they were. I also love to sing! I was in the the high school chamber choir and currently sing with our ward choir and with my dad in a quartet once in a while. I love to go backpacking up in the Uintah Mountains, fishing at nearby reservoirs, running and spending time with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have found that in living a life obedient to the commandments of Jesus Christ, I am truly happy. I love my family and know that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and by making and keeping temple covenants, I can spend eternity with my loved ones.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live a Christ-like life. I am also teaching those in my community how to research information about their ancestors, so that they can bring the blessings and joy of the gospel of Jesus Christ to them through doing the temple work for them. I am also actively involved in helping the youth in these same activities.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

God is our loving father in heaven. Because we are his children, he loves each and every one of us and knows us perfectly. He is all-knowing, all-powerful, and perfect in every way. He wants to see us succeed and be happy. He has a body of flesh and bone that is glorified and perfected. He weeps with us when we suffer and rejoices when we do what is right. He wants to communicate with us, and we can communicate with Him through sincere prayer. He answers our prayers. He has given us this experience on the earth so we can learn and grow. We can show our love for Him through our choices and our obedience to His commandments. We can come to know Him as we obey his commandments, read about Him, and converse with Him through prayer.
