Hi I'm Jeremy

I'm married to the love of my life. I'm a father of four. I love serving in my community. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a beautiful family of four kids and the most wonderful wife. I love my family very much and am so thankful we'll be together forever. I enjoy the outdoors with my family. I love skiing and water sports. I love playing the guitar and piano. I'm active in my local Rotary Club and serve on the local school foundation board of directors.

Why I am a Mormon

I read the Book of Mormon, prayed about it, and received an answer from the Holy Ghost that it was true. I have seen the great blessings in my life that come by trying to listen to the words of the Savior and am very happy because of faith in Jesus Christ and his plan for our happiness. I really believe that Christ's words are the way to peace and happiness in this life and eternal joy.

How I live my faith

I try to live by the two great commandments. Love the Lord and my neighbours. This is difficult for me because of pride, selfishness and patients, but I know service brings joy. I am currently serving as a leader in our congregation and love visiting with people and helping them in their lives. I try hard to stay close to the spirit of the Lord and make good choices each day. Most importantly, I'm really trying to be a wonderful husband and father.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Jeremy
It is a wonderful gift. A person can know for him/her self that something is true, by the power of the Holy Ghost. This is a feeling of peace and confidence. When I was 15, I was struggling with desires to participate in things that looked fun, but don't bring joy. I talked with my dad about it and he recommended I read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if it is true. If it was, I should try and live the kind of life I should. While I was reading, I knelt and prayed to ask if the Book of Mormon was true and if Jesus Christ was my Savior. The feeling I received was wonderful. My heart burned inside and I was filled with peace. I knew that God loves me and that this was His church. That has happened many times since, but it gives me the strength to stand for what is right. How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Jeremy
This is a great question. Some of the things that have helped me get to know him are: Looking at the beauty of His creations, praying to Him and listening to the spirit as I pray, reading in the Holy Scriptures about him, and feeling His love as I try to serve others. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Jeremy
There is only one way to know if something is true- to go to the source! I believe with all my heart that God wants to hear and answer our prayers. When I was 15, I read the Book of Mormon. At the end, there is a promise that the Lord will let us know if it is true if we read with real intent, ponder, and pray. I did just that. When I prayed, the spirit spoke distinctly to my heart and let me know that the Book of Mormon was God's word. I have lived to see the wonderful fruits that the gospel of Jesus Christ brings into my life. I'm so greatful I took the challenge and asked God as it says in James 1:5. Show more Show less
