Hi I'm Dave

I live in the Pacific Northwest. I love outdoor sports despite the rain. I am a father of 3 with one on the way and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from BYU a few years ago with a degree in Computer Science. I currently work for Amazon.com as a software engineer. I served a two-year mission in Japan. I spend most of my free time playing with my kids, or playing soccer. When they get a little older I hope to combine the two activities.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with two Mormon parents, but it wasn't until my teenage years that I gained a conviction myself that what I had believed and lived my whole life was actually true. I had a special experience where in the midst of various teenage trials I felt filled with the love of God beyond description. It has been experiences like that throughout my life that have affirmed, and reaffirmed, the conviction I feel to the Mormon church and its teachings.

How I live my faith

I currently work with the 14 and 15 year old young men in my area. We have a great time exploring the outdoors. I love to watch the progress they make toward becoming fine young men. My other highlight of church service is visiting a widow in our congregation. She is an amazing woman who has devoted her life to humanitarian efforts. I love to hear her faith promoting stories. Most of them involve running out of quilting fabric, praying for some, and having a box show up on her porch the next day.
