Hi I'm Tony Gonzalez

I'm a golfaholic, I'm studying engineering, I go by THE Black Mamba and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm currently studying engineering. I love sports especially basketball, baseball, football and golf! I served in the Oklahoma City, OK Mission (Spanish speaking); the experiences I had and the people I met have and will forever influence my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that Joseph truly saw God the Father and His son Jesus the Christ in that sacred grove of trees in the spring of 1820. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and "...if ye shall ask with a sincere heart... he will manifest the truth of it unto you" Moroni 103-5.  I know that Christ himself leads His church of which this is through a living prophet a pattern established from the beginning of time starting with Adam, down through the dispensations including the prophet Joseph Smith and the Restoration until the present day with President Thomas S. Monson.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to follow the example of Jesus Christ as found in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I love reading the Book of Mormon and when I do so, I feel closer to Christ; I truly feel my Savior's love for me. I am grateful for the love my Heavenly Father has for me. My life has been blessed forever when our Heavenly Father called Joseph Smith to restore the Gospel of Christ to the earth once more. Through the Restored Gospel and restored priesthood keys, I can now return to live with my Heavenly Father and live with my family that I love so much, if I keep the commandments and covenants I make with my Savior. As a full-time missionary, the scripture Alma 29:9 from the Book of Mormon played a big role in why I personally decided to serve a mission.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Tony Gonzalez
Through the restored gospel we can as husbands/wives, parents and children develop stronger relationships and spiritual strength in their families. We know that families are ordained of God and are therefore the most important social unit in time and in the eternity. God has established my family so that he can bring happiness to me and allow me to learn correct principles in a loving atmosphere, and with my family, prepare for eternal life. Show more Show less
