Hi I'm Gloria

I have three daughters. I love to read. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a small farm where we milked a goat every day and grew a large garden every year. My family was big and happy with seven children. Now my husband and I have started on our own family with three little girls so far and the goal of twelve children. I have always been interested in doing many, many things including reading, art, cooking, running, dancing, poetry, and writing. I enjoy getting involved in my community- volunteering when I can. Currently I spend most of my time trying to grow good people.

Why I am a Mormon

As I finished school and work and started having children I had more time to think about my past experiences and who I want to be. I want to be better than I was. I want to have peace about the purpose and direction of my life. The more that my actions are in line with what God expects of me, the happier I am. The natural consequences for disobeying God's laws makes people unhappy, whether they know those laws or not. That is why it is important to me to share what I know with others. I want others to have the peace and happiness I have access to. I have been so grateful for my ability to use the atonement of Jesus Christ. I believe that as I pray to God for forgiveness and pray for help and strength to improve, he hears and answers me. I want to keep getting better and leave my mistakes behind. When I was baptized I entered into the path that leads me daily to God as I remember Him always and repent. I am a Mormon because God has blessed me and continues to bless me with his Spirit that tells me when something is right. I am a Mormon because I have had God's witness that these teachings are true.

How I live my faith

I have the good fortune to work with the young women in my ward, ages 12-18. They are wonderfully dedicated to living the best lives they can. This makes them inspiring people to be around. I guide them in planning and running weekly youth activities. On Sunday we spend an hour together being taught and teaching about how to stand as a witness of God and strengthen our home and families.
