Hi I'm Nate Banry

I'm a proud husband, father, Sergeant with the Los Angeles Police Department, and most importantly, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in a small town in Southern Oregon. My father was a Police Officer during my early years. I enjoy hunting and fishing or anything in the great outdoors. I've been a police officer with the LAPD for 18 years and love it.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both converts and I've been an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all my life. Even though I've been a member all my life I still have a conversion story. At twelve years old I wanted to know if what my parents were teaching me was true. I decided, like Joseph Smith long ago, to pray for an answer. So strong was the response that to this day I've never doubted. Nothing in my life means as much to me as my belief in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

My faith defines who I am. My profession exposes me to some of the true weaknesses of humanity. My faith has helped center me and keep me from despair. No matter how bad in is in my professional world I know that my family, both at home and in the Gospel, are there for me.
