Hi I'm David

I'm an accountant, a husband, a father, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to follow sports. I especially enjoy watching college basketball, the NBA, and world cup soccer. I also like to read. Recently I read a biography of John Adams which was really good. I also like to spend time with my wife and children. My favorite place to be is at home.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are Mormon. They taught me the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It always rang true to me. When I was older, I spent some time on my knees praying about the church. I also spent a lot of time reading the Book of Mormon. The calm, spiritual feelings that followed confirmed for me that I was on the right path.

How I live my faith

My wife and I have several children. We worry about them with all of the improper influences in media, etc. Prayer is a source of comfort for our family. We pray for protection, wisdom, help, and guidance. I also ask Heavenly Father for forgiveness when I make mistakes.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

We believe that we lived as spirits before we were born on this earth. One of the purposes of life is to receive a physical body. While we are here on earth, we cannot remember our pre-earth life. Thus, another purpose of earth life is to live by faith. Finally, challenges and testing are part of earth life. Challenges are not fun, but they help us grow if we approach them correctly. Making tough choices is hard too, but the experience helps us progress. Having the ability to make choices for ourselves is a precious gift. Show more Show less
