Hi I'm Aleina

I'm a cake decorator, a friend, a daughter, a sister, a student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the third oldest of seven kids. My family is very important to me and I love them very much. I moved a lot growing up, so I've lived in several places such as Utah, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and North Carolina. Most of my life I was homeschooled. I love Panda Bears and the color purple. One of my favorite things to do is to decorate cakes.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a mormon family, so I grew up with the gospel, but even when you grow up learning eternal truths you still have to be converted. I am mormon because I choose to be. Not because my parents are, not because so many people I know are, but because I knelt down in prayer, pouring my heart out to God, asking if it was true. I was about 14 at the time. The answer I received was almost between a thought and a feeling that said "Study More". I was kind of confused with my answer. Shouldn't I know enough having grown up in the church? I guess not... so I applied myself much more to reading the scriptures and learning at church and seminary(a scripture study program for teens in the church). My answer finally came like a sunrise over the mountains that gradually fills the world with light. I can't remember the exact moment when the answer came because it was so gradual, but I didn't need anything big or impressive. It came by small and simple things such as a peacful feeling that filled my heart. I know it is true. I know it. It's something I cannot forget or deny, and I would tell all who listen and counsel them to pray and find out for themselves. There's nothing to lose and everything to gain by offering a simple, heartfelt prayer.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm serving an 18 month mission for my church. I love sharing my testimony with all of these wonderful people and the best part is seeing the changes that take place in their lives as they accept the gospel and come unto Chritst. The church and the gospel has been the biggest blessing I could ever ask for in my life. I would not be the same, and my family would not be the same without it. I try every day to be more like my Savior and do the things that he would do. I'm not perfect at it by all means but the point is to try and do my very best.
