Hi I'm Ceri

I'm from Alaska, I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a missionary, and I'm sharing with everyone I see how their lives can be better! I love what I am doing, and don't want to be anywhere else. Before I started my mission, I studied Communication Disorders at college. I am from Alaska, and I love being in the outdoors. I love my family, and I love letters!

Why I am a Mormon

Why not? I was raised in the Church, and I have always know it is true. Don't get me wrong, this isn't blind faith. I've read and pondered the scriptures, I've prayed, I've gone to church, and I know without a doubt, just as my Heavenly Father testified to me in my personal prayers, that He loves me, and this gospel is true. As John 7:17 says, "If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself". The best way to know if something is true or not, is to live it- "do his will...know of the doctrine". Think of it this way, you won't know if a diet is going to work for you, unless you try it out, and you won't know if you're a good cook unless you try cooking something! And often, you have to try more than once. I've grown up striving to live the gospel, live the standards and morals taught in the scriptures, and from the prophets and apostles, and because of that, I know that it is true.

How I live my faith

Currently, I am living my faith in what I can testify is the best possible way for me right now. I am serving a mission as a representative of the Savior! I know Heavenly Father needs me here right now, and I am thankful that he has given me this wonderful opportunity. I get to be His tool while the Lord changes people's lives for the better. It is a wonderful thing to witness, and I testify that it is worthwhile.

What do Mormons believe about family?

We believe that the family is so important, that God made it possible to have our families together again even after we die. The only way to do this is through Jesus Christ. This is why we have temples, many people have asked me what they're for, and why, but this is why- the family. The temples are where it is made possible for us to live with our families forever. You know, it's so true what they say when two people who are in love get married - "till death do you part". If you love them, do you really want to end it at death? We believe that when you are married in the temple, God is eternally part of your marriage, and in no part of the ceremony does it say "till death do you part" because something as wonderful as a marriage and a family stemming from it, God would never want to end at death.
