Hi I'm Landon

I grew up in the foothills of the Rockies. I am an average Joe who is going to do great things. I`m a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a huge family of seven children of whom are all married except myself. Those six of the seven children all have children of themselves and so I am an uncle 24 times. For me sports is a huge part of my life. Coming from a high school of about 300 people it wasnt too difficult to be active in sport teams but even though that was the case we were generally very good at sports in our small town. One of my greatest passions in life is Basketball. My Dad has coached basketball all my life growing up and having the opportunity to play High School basketball was a dream come true. Now that highschool is over I still play the occasional sports but I love nature and want to do great things in life by traveling the world and starting a humanitarian foundation in a French African location.

Why I am a Mormon

I started off being a Mormon because thats all i knew growing up. My parents are Mormon, and my parents parents are Mormon, so therefore I am Mormon. But the older I grew up the more I realized how much I was blessed when I lived the gospel. When it came down to me going on a mission and sacrificing two years of my life away from my family and friends I had to find out for sure if this church was true and if I was supposed to serve a mission. I can testify to you that I got an answer to both of those questions when i prayed to my heavenly father. That knowledge that God is there and that his church has been restored has blessed me with a great peace of mind that I know Gods plan for me.

How I live my faith

Right now I am actually serving as a missionary for my church. Giving my life to the Lord for two years to answer the questions of the soul for those people who are searching. In order to do so I have immersed myself in French so that I can better communicate with the people I serve in Quebec. I have also always tried to live my faith through acts of service and love for my fellowbeings around me.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

No Mormons help everyone. We try to be as charitable as possible. Even though we help alot of other Mormon's because of how our church is set up but we love to help everyone. Our Church has a very successfull and large service department that is called "The Helping Hands". This service group is found all over the world, wherever there is need of help from a disaster. During the New Orleans hurricane disaster, a news caster reported that there was two main groups that were giving the most help to those in need, the Mormons, and also the LDS church. What the news caster didn't know was that the Mormons and the LDS church is the same church! Show more Show less
