Hi I'm Jeff

I'm a missionary to the people of Mexico. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student. I enjoy meeting new people and spending time with friends and family. I come from a big family who I love dearly and love spending time with. I enjoy learning new things and working with computers. I am currently serving a mission in Mexico, but before my mission I worked as a member of the IT at the university that I attend. I also enjoy making websites as a hobby.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the joy and peace that it brings into my life. I have had times in my life when I have not had happiness or peace, but when I started living my faith completely again and doing the things that I had learned at church, I was able to get through those tough times in my life and I received that joy and peace in my life again. I know that there is no other way that I could have this joy and peace in my life, except through my faith.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by the way I live. I serve others around me and help those in need. I have been a teacher to other members of my faith, and I am currently serving a full-time mission in Mexico teaching others about my faith. I receive so much joy from my faith and I want to help all people find more joy in their lives by coming to Christ.

Are Mormons Christians?

I hear this question a lot especially becuase I am from an area of the United States that is very religious, and so I have been asked this question a lot. I know that we are Christians! Christ is the central of our church and we believe that the only way to live with God again is only through his sacrifice on the cross and his suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and know that He came to the earth to give us the ability to return to live with God. I know that He was ressurected after His death and that He lives again. What is the Book of Mormon?

Many people believe that the Book of Mormon is an addition to the Bible, but it is not. It is only a second witness (or testament) of Jesus Christ. 2 Cor. 13:1 tells us that all things that God gives us will be given by more than one witness. This is true of the Bible and the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon does not contradict with the Bible, but actually confirms that truth of the Bible and its contents. This is because the Book of Mormon is about people in the Ancient Americas who were given God's commandments just like the people in the Bible. As Mormons, we do not only use the Book of Mormon, we use the Bible and Book of Mormon together becuase they teach the same things and the Book of Mormon helps us to understand some of the things in the Bible by making it clearer what was taught to those people. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that through reading it we can know what God wants us to do. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No, we do not worship Joseph Smith. This is a common misconception because of the amount that we talk about him. The reason that we talk about him so often is becuase he was the first prophet of God since the time of Christ. When Christ was on the earth, He organized His church and then it was corrupted and lost as Christ and the apostoles were killed. Through Joseph Smith, Christ's church was restored to the earth. We do not worship Joseph Smith but we know that he was a great prophet that helped Christ's church to be reestablished on the earth again. Show more Show less

Where did Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints begin?

The Mormon Church began when Christ organized it in Jerusalem. He called His 12 apostles which was the beginning of the organization of His Church. After Christ died, the authority that Christ had was lost and His teachings were corrupted and some of them were lost. Through Joseph Smith, the same church that Christ setup in Jerusalem was restored. The restored church was officially organized on April 6, 1830. The church follows the same organization that existed in the church that Christ established. Show more Show less
