Hi I'm Michael

I grew up in Oregon. I love to play the piano. I am currently serving a mission for the church in Sweden. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Family, music and God are the most important things in my life. I come from a huge family. I have five older brothers and four older sisters. Soon I will have a total of twenty nieces and nephews. There is nothing I love to do more than to spend time with my family, especially my nieces and nephews. In any free time that I may have, I practice a musical instrument. My favorite is piano. Someday I want to learn how play every musical instrument. So far, I can only play piano, marimba and very horribly violin and cello. Right now, I want to share what has made me the most happy in my life; what has strengthen my family and helped me in music: God. I am serving a mission in Sweden. I want to invite as many people as I can to come unto Jesus Christ and feel the happiness and Joy that has been in my life because of His gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised from birth as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. However, I didn't gain my testimony of its truthfulness until I was fourteen. I decided that I want to know without any doubt if the Book of Mormon was true. I spent the next two months reading it from cover to cover. When I got to the end, I prayed to my Father in Heaven if it was true. I was expecting to feel an overwhelming feeling of joy or comfort that it was true. That didn't happen. I continued to pray, but I wasn't getting that overwhelming feeling. It was about two weeks later, that I realized that I felt that feeling my entire life. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that it was translated by the power of God through the prophet Joseph Smith.

How I live my faith

Right now, I am serving a full time mission. I am devoting 100% of my time to serving the Lord. There is nothing I want more than to share the joy that comes from coming unto Jesus Christ. I wake up every morning at 6:30am, study, teach and serve until 9pm, where I then prepare for the next day. Before my mission, I would share my musical abilities in anyway that I knew how. I have been blessed by the Lord and it would be selfish to keep music to myself. I may have not been the best, but I would always play for people, especially in church where I would accompany the congragational hymns.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Prayer. God is our oving Heavenly Father. He wants us to know His Gospel and feel His love. He will let you know through your feelings and through your mind. I promise you. It may not occur when you want it too, but if you are sincere he will answer your prayer. Show more Show less
