Hi I'm Brandon

I'm a Latter-day Saint in Jesus Christ's church!

About Me

I'm a young adult who loves to act and sing in plays and musicals. I'm number five in a family of nine children. I enjoy all sorts of music and movies. I love to take hikes and go camping with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in having an open heart and an open mind to learn about things that I have questions about. I also believe in a scriptural promise that says you may know the truth of all things by the power of the Holy Ghost. I believe that God will not hide the truth from us if we really desire to have it and to act upon receiving that knowlege. That is why I am a Mormon. I have prayed, I have studied, I have listened to the feelings in my heart and mind that come from the Holy Ghost (Galatians 5:22-23). I know that God is our loving Heavenly Father and desires for each of us, his children, to be happy and to return to him and live in his presence forever! His son, Jesus Christ offered himself a ransom for us imperfect children and provided a plan that, if followed, we would receive the mercy and grace that comes from Jesus Christ and be allowed to be clean and perfected and therefore worthy and able to enter God's Kingdom after we are judged. What a glorious plan that allows us to use our own agency, therefore learn by our own choices and not by force, and that gives a chance for ALL of God's children to return to him! I guess you can say that I am a Mormon because I want to return to Heavenly Father and I want all of my brothers and sisters on earth to come back with me!

How I live my faith

I'm currently serving a full-time, two year mission for the Mormon church. We are mostly recognized by our white shirts and ties, dark slacks and shoes and black name tags that say "Elder" on it. We teach people who are interested in the church about what we believe. We also love to help people with service projects including yard work, BINGO at Tendercare, Soup Kitchens and Food Pantries, etc. As missionaries, we offer two years of our lives to serving the Lord. We leave behind all other affairs including school, friends, work, dating, television and movies, internet access (except to email our families once a week and look up church related information to help us with our work), etc. Some may think that this is a hard thing to do, but we are promised by the Lord through scripture that all will be well and he will bless us for our service. I definately have seen those blessings as I have served him thusfar! My relationship with the Lord has also been strengthened which I am very grateful for! It's a blessing to serve a mission for two years!
