Hi I'm Amy

I'm a wife, mother and grandmother. I'm a homeschooler. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother, and a grandmother. I've homeschooled all five of my children and have a passion for learning and teaching that I am now using in my health and wellness business. I enjoy helping others to feel their best! I love to be outside and enjoy the beautiful world that God has given us. Life is a wonderful gift and I am grateful for all of my opportunities and blessings. I am especially grateful for technology that allows me to see and talk to my granddaughter who lives 2000 miles away!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was a very inquisitive child. Always asking questions and wanting to know why. I had lots of questions about religion as a child, but my parents couldn't always answer them to my satisfaction. When I was 16, I met the missionaries who answered my many questions. Finally, I understood the nature of God and what the purpose of this life is and where we are going when we die. It felt like coming home to a beautiful sunrise after a long journey of being in the dark. I know that the Church is true and that Joseph Smith was chosen to restore Jesus Christ's true Church upon the earth. I know that God loves me. I feel joy and peace because I know that I am able to live with my family forever. I was baptized between my Junior and Senior year of high school and it was the best decision I ever made. My son is now preparing to serve a mission and I know that he will bless other's lives the way mine was blessed.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church on Sundays and serving others. I have taught in the children's organization, the youth, Boy Scouts (Webelos) and also in the adult women's organization throughout the years. Currently, I'm a Citizenship in the Nation Merit Badge Counselor and I am also the secretary for our ward's children's organization. I love seeing the children's sweet faces each Sunday as they learn about our Savior through lessons and songs. I read scriptures and pray daily, and teach my children to live the gospel. I try to be kind to others and to remember that we are all on our own journey and to be patient with everyone. We are all brothers and sisters and the world would be a much different place if we remembered that in our interactions with others. A kind word and a simple smile could make a huge difference in someone's day.
