Hi I'm Nidsa

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a sophomore in college studying vocal performance. I like to read and play piano as well, and I am a member of my college's debate team where I debate with my older brother.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I firmly believe that this is the Lord's church on Earth today. My testimony of the gospel, the prophets and apostles, the Book of Mormon, and priesthood authority is constantly reaffirmed as I study scripture and live by the teachings of the gospel.

How I live my faith

I am currently attending a small single adult branch where I live. My two main responsibilities in the branch are branch organist and gospel principles instructor. For the first, I play piano and organ for church meetings on Sundays, and for the second I teach a class on basic doctrine for new members and those investigating the church.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

In reality, there is no way to describe all the women in the church. The church is a worldwide organization, and is made up of a diverse group of women from practically every country in the world. The church has always encouraged women to gain an education and to be self reliant. We definitely believe in equality for men and women. In the church major leadership positions are either open to men or women, or are mirrored in a men's organization and a women's organization. There are about as many women in the church as men marginally more, in fact and women are given assignments to speak to the congregation on Sundays and teach classes regularly. Show more Show less
