Hi I'm Stuart

I'm a college student. I want to be happy and make a difference. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a college student that loves my family, friends and living life. I enjoy being in the outdoors, playing soccer, running and learning languages.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up a member of the church. My parents taught me what they knew was right, but there came a time when I had to figure out those same things for myself. By praying on my own to know if the things that I had been taught were true and by living the teachings in my life, I came to know that they were true. I was able to read in the Book of Mormon--which is evidence that God has called a living prophet in our times, just as he did in the past--and pray to God to ask Him if it was true. I now know for myself that it is true because of the feelings of peace, comfort and happiness that came to me as I prayed about it and the feelings that still come as I continue to read it and apply what it teaches in my life. Being a Mormon has helped me to find true purpose in life and understand that God knows who I am personally and that He has a plan for me to follow in this life so that I can live with Him again someday.

How I live my faith

As a student I attend a congregation with lots of other kids my age who are going to school as well. It's great because it gives me an opportunity to be around other people my age and I really feel strengthened. It helps me to be able to make good choices and I'm able to learn from the experiences that they've had in their lives too. I also am able to have opportunities to serve in the church--like visit members of the congregation once a month to share a short spiritual message. Doing so has helped me to be able to get to make great friends and learn how to get outside myself and think more about others.
