Hi I'm Brian

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student. I am studying to eventually become a doctor. I enjoy playing, coaching and watching soccer. I was recently married to my beautiful wife, Andrea, in August of 2011. I enjoy spending time with my wife, and I like art, music, sports, the outdoors, cooking, and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because to me it makes perfect sense and brings me happiness! I love the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and am grateful because of the peace it brings to me. I think one of my most favorite parts of being a Mormon is that of gaining a knowledge of God's plan for each of us here on this earth by reading the Book of Mormon. What a joy it is to be able to have the instructions on how to change from day to day! I also find comfort in knowing that God still reaches out to us by giving words of counsel to us through a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson. I know that Joseph Smith did truly see Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. He became a prophet and restored Christ's complete church with power and authority given him of God. I know this to be true, along with all else that I have said, because I asked God himself through prayer. I received a confirming answer through the Holy Ghost that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true, and each day that I live according to the guidelines of the church it proves itself to be unfailing and correct. I do not regret my decision to join the church - I never have.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be the best person I can be. I try hard to be polite, open to others' feelings and opinions. I do my best to support my family members and especially my beautiful wife. I attend church services each week to learn more of Christ and how to become a better person. I try hard to reflect the principles that Jesus Christ taught in my every-day life.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Brian
I love this question. I think it is important for everybody, no matter how old or experienced, to continually ask themselves this question. Often time people look for life-changing events that they can base their faith on. This is not bad, but more often then not that person will be left looking a very long time. For me the most powerful faith-builders are the ones that are the easiest to overlook on a daily basis. For example: prayer, reading from the scriptures, being kind to others, etc. Prayer, in my eyes, is one of the most powerful ways that an individual can gain/increase their faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. When results and answers to our prayers continually become a reality our faith can increase at the same rate. For me, prayer (coupled with reading the scriptures) has had a very significant role in the increase of my faith. Show more Show less
