Hi I'm Tyrel

I live in NJ, and love it. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy spending time with my wife and son. We like going to the shore, visiting family out west, going on trips to Yellowstone National Park, attending Nets games, and being involved with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up attending the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with my family. My parents and siblings were (still are) great examples to me in how they followed the Savior Jesus Christ. This allowed me to develop good habits at an early age. I was baptized at the age of 8 because I wanted to follow the example of my older siblings, and more importantly, Jesus Christ. As I got older, I gained a testimony in the restoration of Christ's Church. I count it a blessing on a daily basis to be a part of His Church. There has been no greater happiness than to know the same organization/church that was established when Christ was on the earth, has once again been restored in these last days. That is why I am passionate to help share this message to all of those who want to learn about it.

How I live my faith

I enjoy being involved with the church in my community. I occasionally teach Sunday School to the youth, and will help out the full-time missionaries who serve in my area. I will attend some of the discussions they have with people learning about our church.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Tyrel
The Atonement of Jesus Christ is Christ overcoming both spiritual and physical death. More specifically, when we make mistakes and sin (spiritual death), it is because of Christ's Atonement that we can overcome and be forgiven of those mistakes and sins. Because Christ was crucified, and later resurrected, we too can overcome death (physical death) and live again with our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and our families forever. Having a testimony in the Atonement of Jesus Christ has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. It has allowed me to evolve into the person I am today, and provide the knowledge that I will be with my family beyond this life. Show more Show less

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Tyrel
Reading the scriptures is very important in my life. They help me remember what really matters in life. Most importantly, they help me draw closer to Jesus Christ, which in turn, enables me to be a better person. Show more Show less
