Hi I'm Sally

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mom with 3 kids under 4, so I'm really busy. I love to read, watch tv, sit around and talk and laugh with my family, and go to church and community events. I really love to sleep! I look forward to my naps on the weekends when my husband is home to watch the kids. I go through spurts of exercising, walking with my little ones and so I guess that is my sporadic hobby. I love to eat Chinese food and of course chocolate My passion is my husband and kids, and they are most of what I think about everyday. My dreams for myself are to make a difference in the world, participate in the community and all kinds of great organizations out there that help others. My husband and I look forward to serving missions together for the church when our kids are grown.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and I felt that the church was true and had great happiness in living the principles of the gospel growing up. My family had problems, my parent divorced, I went through trials of my own in my teen years and I decided to stop going to church. I never stopped loving the Book of Mormon however. I always knew it was true. After my marriage and getting pregnant I felt so strongly that I wanted to be with my husband and baby forever. I remembered how the church was all about achieving that and I didn't know any other church that offered ordinances for forever families. we had Mormon missionaries come to us and teach us. My husband was raised Catholic and I had so many problems with the bible and church history and doubts about if I could go back to living the gospel principles. Then one night as a missionary bore his testimony of Jesus Christ I felt such a strong feeling and that this was Christ's church and He loved me that I was startled and asked if anyone else had felt that! I decided I couldn't deny that this was Christ's church and He was real. Though my questions weren't all answered I knew they would be someday. Since then I have experimented on living the gospel and been amazed at all the blessings and spiritual experiences that have come from it. I am a Mormon because I love Christ and know it is His church with his power in it. I am a Mormon because I want to be with my husband and children forever!

How I live my faith

I go church with my family every Sunday, we have a family meeting to learn the gospel and have fun every Monday night although sometimes it gets really crazy with little kids! I think the fact that we get together and try every Monday will mean something to them as they grow up even if sometimes its a disaster! I sing church songs and teach little lessons to my children in the morning and help my 3 year old watch scripture story movies online. At night we all read a little from the Book of Mormon. I try to study myself in the mornings. I go visit other women in the church every month and I go to a church playgroup. Our whole family goes to Spokane WA every few months and gets a hotel, then my husband and I switch off going to the temple while the other watches the kids. I try to do what the Savior would do in all of my life. Like not judging others, only watching movies that are clean looking for little ways to be kind. I am doing genealogy online too.
