Hi I'm Michelle

I grow up in California. I served a mission in Texas. I am a mormon.

About Me

I grow up in California. Now live in Utah. Enjoy reading, singing, drawing. I served a mission in Texas and resently got married.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into my faith. But even though I was born into my faith I had to decided for myself if the things my parents beleived in if they were true or not. I for myself have found the Book of Mormon to be true as I have studied and prayed about it. I know that Joseph Smith was truely a prophet of God. I know that Heavenly Father restored His gospel back on the earth by calling His prophet Joseph Smith to build up the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints. I know tha we have a living prophet on the earth today his name is Tomas S. Monson. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His Son Jesus Chirst. I know that our Heavenly Father has a plan for all His childen so that family can live together forever. Most important of all I know our Heavenly Father loves all His Children.

How I live my faith

I serve in my church as missionary. I am not like one of the missionaries you see on bikes. I am a missionary who helps people that live in the area where our covers. I help both mormons and also those who are not mormons.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

We believe that the spirit is one of the members of the God head. The God head is made up of 3 separt beings; God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. We believe the Holy Ghost is a guide from our Heavenly Father to know what is right and wrong. Show more Show less

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

We go to church for 3 hours. I know it is kind of worries you to hear we meet for 3 hours. The meet outline is like this: Sacrament meetting, Sunday school, relief society and prestood, young mens and young womens, primary. Sacrament meeting is where all the members of the church come together to take of the bread and water. The meeting is over seen by a man called a bishop who is the man who looks over all needs of the people at that meeting. In our church we have no payed postions so our church is all run by people serving. We don't have a preacher how speaks all the time during the church serves. The people that speak our members of the church. The bishop asks someone a week or two before hand to perpare a talk on a certain gosple princple and asks them to share it with the members. Sunday school is where each get to learn the principles of the gospel at our own level. The adults, youth, children, and vistors all have there class. Prestood is where all the men of the church meet together. Relief society is where all the women of the church meet together. Young men and young women is a meeting for all the youth of the church. Primary is for all the children in the church. The church meets are all open for vistors to attend. To find a church to meet at in our area just go to a member of the church in your area or go to lds.org to find out where we meet. Show more Show less

What is the First Vision?

The first vision was where we believe that Joseph Smith a boy of 14, saw God the Father and His son Jesus Christ. He saw both these heavenly beings in answer to a queston that he prayed about. The question that he wanted answer was which church he should join because there were so many churches in the area where he grow up. In answer to his prayer he was told to join none of them that the true church was not yet on the earth. Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we believe that Heavenly Father has a plan for all His children. We believe that as part of that plan that He has called missionaries go out throw all the world to share of our faith and believes. We believe that God wants all His children to be able to hear what we have to say and decided for themselves if it is true or not. Show more Show less
