Hi I'm Brian

I'm a husband, a father, a broadcast engineer and a skimboard enthusiast. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a broadcast engineer at a large television station and have been working there for 6 years. I love playing most sports--especially soccer and golf.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because of the good, family values this church teaches and because I believe in a modern-day prophet. It helps to guide my life so that I can be happier and less stressed.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading the scriptures everyday and praying morning and night. My wife and I also have family prayer morning and night.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Brian
As Mormons, we definitely believe in the Bible. It was written by prophets and other chosen leaders of their day. It was written for later generations to understand what God had revealed, and what the people did about those commandments. The Bible comes from various places on Earth, such as Israel and Egypt, just to name a few. Because it was written by prophets, we believe it to be the word of God, and strive to live by its teachings. During some of the same time as the Bible was written, other people--due to persecution--left Jerusalem to travel to the Americas. They recorded their experiences and revelations from God in The Book of Mormon. We use both books as sacred witnesses that God our Father in Heaven loves us and cares about us returning to live with him again. Show more Show less
