Hi I'm Joe Bouchelle

I'm an educator. We have lived in many countries and love to see the world. I'm a husband, a father, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife, Sharlet, and I have four children and live in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. I have worked in education for over 25 years and currently work as an administrator in higher education. We love the joys of family life in small town America! My wife recently finished serving as the Virginia Mother of the Year and loved that experience. We believe that Strong Moms Strengthen Families and Strong Families Strengthen Communities. And what strengthens our family is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

One of our favorite hymns begins, "Sweet is the peace the gospel brings." That sums up why I am a Mormon. I love my family and want to be with them forever. The peace and joy that brings into everything we do is a wonderful thing. I love the Lord Jesus Christ. He has sacrificed so very much for us. We, as a family, hope that by trying to live a good life we can, in some small way, help his work to go forth.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by loving those around me as the Savior would. There is always someone close by who can use a helping hand, a pat on the back, or maybe just a friendly smile. We love the hymn, "Have I Done Any Good in the World Today?" I feel like that is a great measuring stick for our daily walk with the Lord? Who have I served today? Whose burden has been lightened? Let's go forth and serve!
