Hi I'm Bryan

I'm a husband and father, a security software professional, an actor, and an amateur radio operator. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the husband of a wonderful woman and father of four amazing boys. For fun, I'm an amateur radio operator, sound technician and actor. For work, I'm a computer security professional. Personally, I'm a hopeless romantic who enjoys reading a variety of books and watching chick flicks.

Why I am a Mormon

The origins of my faith started with my parents. My mother was raised as a Mormon, and my father joined the church in his thirties. While their guidance helped provide a solid foundation for me, ultimately I needed a personal testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I obtained a witness of the truth of the life and mission of Jesus Christ in my teenage years. I also came to obtain a testimony of the mission of the life of the Prophet Joseph Smith and his call to restore the Church of Jesus Christ in modern times.

How I live my faith

For me, the most important aspect of my spiritual life is learning how to be kind and considerate to others, and how to be temperate in my personal behaviors. I help in the church by serving as a Sunday School teacher for boys and girls ages 12 through 14, and also work with our church-sponsored Boy Scout troop.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Bryan
The Articles of Faith of the church state, "We believe the Bible to be the word of God, as far as it is translated correctly." Basically, that means that the influence of man is pretty evident in the contents of the Bible. Nevertheless, the Bible contains many sacred writings that I know are true through the witness of God's Holy Spirit. My testimony of the Savior, Jesus Christ, was founded on my reading of the New Testament. While the Book of Mormon provides further testimony of the life and mission of Jesus Christ, and is the foundation for the testimony of Jesus for many Mormons, I will always be grateful for the influence of the Bible in bringing me to an awareness of our Savior.
