Hi I'm Bill

I'm a dentist in Sacramento. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have 8 kids. I enjoy doing genealogy and gardening.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and was baptized when I was 8 years old. However, when I was 12, I developed a strong testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel when began to question why we had to go to church every week, obey the commandments, and live a life that prohibited certain activities such as smoking or drinking alcohol. I began to pray fervently for an answer and the Holy Ghost revealed to me that there is no other way for everyone to prove our faithfulness to God than by living the gospel standards as he has given it to us. From then on, I knew that Jesus Christ is our Savior and by living the gospel, we can return to live with our Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

I have worked in the youth programs for at least 15 years, especially with the Boy Scouts. I have gone on many campouts with the boys and strive to help them stay stong in the church.

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon contains the writings of God's prophets who lived in the Americas long ago. Just as God's prophets wrote things that were compiled into the Bible, the writings of the prophets in the western hemisphere were compiled by a prophet named Mormon onto gold plates. It is called the Book of Mormon because Mormon is the man who compiled the writings of those prophets in ancient America. Later, the gold plates were given to Joseph Smith to translate into English. We believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God just like the Bible. Show more Show less
