Hi I'm Josh

I'm a Mormon who grew up in Southern California and is now living and working in Provo, UT

About Me

I enjoy outdoor activities (snowboarding, wakeboarding, surfing, tennis, mountain biking) and technology when I'm indoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon originally because my parents and grandparents are Mormon. That being said, I've come to know and understand the gospel of the Mormon faith for myself, and have found that living according to its principles is the only way for me to be truly and consistently happy. Other things the world throws at me are fleeting, but enjoying my time with family and friends and living my faith in the process helps me to be happy and not to fear. We live in strange times; the world is constantly changing. The gospel of Jesus Christ, for me, proves to be a beacon of hope. When I make mistakes, it is the gospel that allows me to pick myself up again, and to restore my conviction that a loving Savior, Jesus Christ, will forgive me as I repent.

How I live my faith

My faith is part of who I am. I live it by reading from the word of God daily and interacting with other people who share my faith. I enjoy talking with others about the gospel, and am live each day grateful to know I have a Father in Heaven who cares.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Josh
Testimony is a conviction of truth. My testimony is not a conviction of all things, but rather a collection of little (and big) truths I've gained over my life-time. Some aspects of the gospel I am still trying to gain a conviction of, but others are things that I know to be true, even as I know that the Sun is real and gives light. My faith leads me to develop my testimony of true principles. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Josh
When I look into my son's eyes, I cannot not doubt he recently came to me from a loving Heavenly Father. When I look at the incredible expanse of the stars in a clear night sky, I cannot imagine a creation without a divine Hand. When I learn truth, I cannot deny the feeling in my mind that by learning truth I'm on my way to becoming who I should be. All of these things and more cause me to consider and believe that God exists and that He loves me. Show more Show less
