Hi I'm Jeri Lin

I'm a wife. I'm a mother. I'm learning how to be a homeschooler. I'm crazy in love with my growing family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I met in Nauvoo, Illinois the summer of 2009. We were married in the Mesa, Arizona temple on January 2, 2010 for time and all eternity. Our son, Hyrum, was born in 2011. Lindi, our daughter, joined the family in 2013. Ellie Texas, our baby girl, just joined the family. We love being parents. I had the opportunity many do not have. I was able to choose to stay home with my children, rather than to work outside of the home. I treasure that blessing. I try to find the humor and happiness among the mothering moments, such as when the baby wakes up screaming and my potty-training two year old has an accident...at the same time. When I can, I love to read good books, try out new recipes, update our family blog, and go out to eat with my husband and parents. I'm learning by trial how to home school my children. It's a good day when I can shower and get dressed without interruption. It's a great day when I slow down and build train tracks and leave the dishes to be tended to later.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's church. Its teachings bring me so much happiness! I love learning of what Christ has done for me, for us! He truly loves us. Our Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to return to live with Him again. We are truly children of God. We are here to learn how to be like Him and His Son. I am continually working to maintain a relationship with God and His Son Jesus Christ. As I do, life becomes just a little bit easier. I still have my personal challenges, but it helps me to gain an eternal perspective. I begin to see that these trials are here to build me up and make me the person I want to be.

How I live my faith

I love being an active member of the church! I strive to find ways that I can serve others every day. I have the opportunity to serve as a visiting teacher. Each month I go visit three different women in the ward. Mostly we sit and chat about what's going on in our lives but we also have a short discussion on a gospel principle, such as "Strengthening Families and Homes". I love sharing what we know with one another. It is such a source of strength!

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Jeri Lin
I have come to know my Heavenly Father through prayer. When I pray to Him, I feel as though he is listening to me and not just superficially, but eagerly! He, in turn, responds to me through the feelings of my heart. I feel peace and love and understanding when I pray to my Father in Heaven. Show more Show less
