Hi I'm Robin

My husband and I own our own business and our little boy is about to turn 1! I love being a mother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I grew up down south and decided to go to BYU for college after I graduated highschool. After attending BYU my husband and I moved to Arizona. We love the outdoors, and though we miss Utah I believe that the desert has it's own, unique beauty. My husband taught me how to ride dirtbikes, and we also love to camp, fish, hike, and play outdoors. We are very family oriented and part of the reason we moved to Arizona is because most of my husbands family, and some of mine live here as well. We just had our first little boy last year and he is the most amazing person ever. I love watching and playing with him each day as he explores this new world and figures out how to make his body work. I love being a mom, but still enjoy working with my husband on our business. Working from home has given me the best of both worlds, and I feel incredibly blessed.

Why I am a Mormon

Because it brings happiness and peace into my life. There are questions that we all have asked in the quite parts of our hearts and minds. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has helped me find the answers to the important ones. I know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me, who sent His son to provide the ultimate example, atone for all of our sins, and provide a way for us to return to our Father's presence. I know that my Savior, Jesus Christ, lives. He loves me, and he wants me to succeed in this life. I know that families can be forever, and that as a parent the greatest chance I can give my children for success in this life and the next is by providing them with a good example and a solid foundation. The gospel of Jesus Christ helps me do so. I know that Joseph Smith was called by God to RESTORE the true church to the earth including all of the keys of the priesthood to perform saving ordinances and receive revelation and guidance from our Heavenly Father that is applicable to us, now. I know that we still have modern day apostles and prophets. They are the mouth piece of God, and as we listen to them we will gain insight and counsel that will allow us to successfully navigate the most perilous circumstances. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ, that it gives powerful insights to those who read it with real intent, and that if you ask of God the purpose and truthfulness of this book will be testified to you. I know that the Church is true, I know that it brings forth good fruit that benefits all man, whether they accept it or not, and I know that Satan will never again put out this light!

How I live my faith

I have had the pleasure to work with the youth in several wards that my husband and I have lived in in the past. And currently I teach the 14-15 year old youth in Sunday School. I love my class, I know that sometimes they are rowdy and even difficult, but I enjoy learning from the scriptures each week as I prepare my lessons, and I enjoy watching them learn. Teaching this class wasn't always easy for me though. I had my first baby several months ago, right around when I was asked to teach this class. And my husband has to go out of town for business occasionally. One time when he was away, I didn't end up having anyone to hold my baby and he was very cranky (I later realized he was starting to get sick). The lesson went miserably, my son cried while I held him, the kids weren't engaged and about 20 minutes in to our hour long lesson I gave up. I told the kids we could just sit and talk till it was time to go to their next class. I went home that day feeling very dejected, and was going to give it one more go and then call it quits if things didn't get better. I didn't think it was fair to my child or the kids to put them through that again. I prayed about what to do over the next week, but wasn't coming up with any permanent solutions. Then the next Sunday one of my friends (who my son adores) was released from her calling and she offered to hold my son for me during my class. Now every Sunday she comes and finds me and takes him for the hour that I teach. I am so grateful for her help, and the class goes much more smoothly now. The kids are used to me and my teaching style now and lessons are much more interactive and fun. Most importantly, they are learning, and remembering, and thinking. Most people are afraid of kids this age, probably because they don't have the energy, but as I watch my son grow so quickly, I pray that he will have teachers as he continues to grow that will care, and try. So that is what I want to do as well.

What is the Church’s position on abortion?

Our religion believes in the sanctity of life. Which means we are pro-life. However we do recognize that extreme and unusual circumstances that involve situations such as rape or incest, and when the mothers life is at risk sometimes call for options that otherwise are not justified.
