Hi I'm Ann

I'm a new mom, a wife, a dance teacher, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Being a new mom is such hard work. But the upside is that it's such a great joy! Having my child smile back at me and learn and grow is absolutely amazing! It's incredible how much that new little guy means to me and completely takes over my life in a very good way. I'm trying to finish my degree in finance and slowly making progress. I'm hoping to be done really soon. One of my great loves is dance. I started dancing when I was 2. I love teaching ballet and jazz and sharing my love for dancing with the next rising group.

Why I am a Mormon

I am lucky because my family makes it easy to live the gospel. I've grown up in the church and later gained a testimony of my own and am grateful that I have. There are so many uncertainties in this world. I love having the gospel in my life having Jesus Christ at the center to anchor me in a busy world. The times in my life that I've been happiest are the times when I have been living the gospel of Jesus Christ and His teachings. It's not a coincidence! They're directly related.

How I live my faith

I am so glad to have the resources available to me through the gospel as I start out my new job as a mom. Reading the Book of Mormon gives me so much strength and support through the day. I serve in the Primary organization for children on Sundays. I love to see their smiling faces each week and am reminded of how much our Savior loves them. They have such pure hearts and sweet spirits. I seem to always come away having learned more than taught.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Ann
In Malachi 3:8,10 we know that we are commanded to pay tithing. We donate 10% of our income to the church to be used for the Lord's purposes to build and maintain temples and meetinghouses, to sustain missionary work, and to carry on the work of the Church throughout the world. If we pay a full tithe we are promised in Malachi that we will receive so many blessings that there will not be room enough to receive them. I can tell you that this is true! Growing up, we didn't have a lot of money. My mother taught me the importance of paying tithing. Our needs were always met and little miracles happened often that provided us with more than we needed. This is still true now in my own life. My husband and I pay tithing first. Everything else has always worked out. Even when sometimes mathematically it shouldn't. It is a blessing to pay tithing and help further the Lord's work here on the Earth. Show more Show less
