Hi I'm Josh

I have been married for 14 years and have 4 beautiful children; 2 boys and 2 girls.

About Me

I have been married for 14 years to my wonderful wife Alex. With the little free time that I have I try to spend it with my family going on walks to the park, playing sports with my kids and having a date night with my wife. I work as a sales manager for a large IT firm providing business solutions to other organizations. I am an active member of my local congregation serving as the ward mission leader. As the mission leader I serve with the full-time missionaries and coordinate their efforts to serve the citizens and organizations of our community. Our primary goal is to live a Christ-like life and invite others to come unto Him through sharing our beliefs and participating in community service projects.

Why I am a Mormon

This church provides its members with several opportunities to serve others. By serving others I feel a closer relationship to my Savior trying to follow the example he set during His mortal ministry. The organizations found within this church really help to strengthen you personally by providing opportunities to grow intellectually, physically, socially and spiritually. The doctrine of the gospel of Jesus Christ can be found in its fullness in this church. By reading the Bible and The Book of Mormon I can assuredly know the right path that my Heavenly Father would like me to follow in this life as a husband, father, brother, uncle, son and friend.

How I live my faith

Everyday has its own obstacles, challenges and opportunities, by reading the Bible and Book of Mormon daily I receive the necessary guidance and state of mind that helps me successfully face what the day has in store for me. I have served in many capacities in this church including teaching/mentoring youth, teaching adults and new members of the church. 15 years ago I lived in the Baltic States for 2 years, where I learned to speak Russian. There, I assisted in many community service projects including free English classes, helping at orphanages, and assisting the homeless. In addition to this I was blessed each day to share my testimony of the reality of Jesus Christ as our Savior and Redeemer with those not of our faith. I can honestly say that this experience has made me into the person I am today.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Josh
As Mormons we believe that families can be together not only in this life, but after death as well. When a couple is married in a Mormon temple under the proper authority they are married for this life and also sealed for Eternity. Not just, "until death do us part".This means that I can be together with my wife and children forever as long as I live this life the best I can. My children are growing up so quickly, which gives me a better sense of my mortality than I would like, but the thing that gives me joy is the knowledge that my experiences with them won't end in this life, and they will continue in the life to come.
