Hi I'm Mike Broberg

My family is important to me. I love to see new places. I lead a practice in a large consulting firm. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a beautiful wife and five wonderful children. My children teach me something new every day through what they say and do. I studied accounting and information systems and now work for a major consulting firm helping clients understand and solve business and technology challenges. Traveling for work has provided opportunities to see new places from time-to-time, which I enjoy, though I'd always rather be with my family. I like to be active and particularly enjoy running, snow skiing and water skiing. I'm also actively involved with non profit, philanthropic activities in my area and enjoy opportunities to make a difference.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I have had multiple spiritual confirmations of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and of the teachings of the church. I have prayed to my Heavenly Father to know if the teachings are true and have had my prayers answered through the comforting influence of the spirit. I have studied the scriptures and received continued confirmation of the truths taught by our Heavenly Father through his prophets, both anciently and in our time. I believe our Heavenly Father has a plan for all of His children and loves us all equally. He allows each of us the freedom to choose what we will and won't do yet also provides a means for us to know what is right. We can know what is right through the feelings impressed upon us by His spirit. Feelings of peace, joy, comfort, humility, warmth, etc. My knowledge of the truth comes from the times I've had these same feelings impress on me the truthfulness of the gospel and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord's church. I know He will allow all to have the same opportunity to know these things are true.

How I live my faith

Participating in church activities and serving others is a natural means for me to demonstrate my convictions. I have had many opportunities to serve as a teacher, advisor and leader and have learned just as much myself from these experiences as I may have taught to others. I enjoy working with youth as well as spending time with other families to assist them with challenges they may be facing as well. I have also enjoyed the opportunity to share the gospel with others through missionary service. I served a mission in Chile many years ago and have since had the opportunity to work in many missionary related efforts in the church. Most of all, I strive to live my faith by teaching my children the same important principles I have been taught. Together with my wife, we strive to have a positive environment in our home where positive feelings from the Spirit can persist. We are nowhere near perfect in this endeavor, however, and will always seek the Lord's help to improve and learn from our mistakes.
