Hi I'm Marc

I am from Las Vegas, NV where I live with my wonderful wife and 5 children. I love my family very much. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a native of Las Vegas. I love living in Las Vegas and I have never lived anywhere else. I am a Plasterer by trade and I am currently serving as the elected Business Manager of the Operative Plasterers & Cement Masons Local 797 Union. I enjoy representing my members and standing for workers rights. More importantly I enjoy spending time with my wife and 5 kids. We love camping but don't get to go enough. When we do get to go camping I love to stream fish. I also like to take my boys out and shoot our guns. We love spending time with all of our extended family. We get together very frequently and celebrate birthdays, holidays and sometimes just get together for no specific reason. I enjoy barbecuing and meeting new neighbors. Another thing I love to do but don't seem to do near enough is woodworking. I love the smell of cutting wood. There is great satisfaction in seeing a finished product that you know you have created with your own hands. This is a reason why I enjoy doing yard work as well. I love a fresh cut lawn and trimmed trees.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have prayed to God for specific answers to know if the Book of Mormon is true and if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I have received an answer to those prayers that they ARE true. The undeniable feelings that came over me when I prayed was definitely the Holy Spirit. I was raised in an all Mormon home but I have received answers for myself that it is all true. I am so happy to know that families can be together for eternity. It also brings me great peace to know that I can be forgiven for my weakness and I can grow and learn to become like God by following the example of Jesus Christ. I do not want to be without the peace, comfort and understanding that come by having faith in Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I enjoy serving others through church responsibilities and assignments. I have had the opportunity to work with adults, youth and young children at different times. I think I most enjoy teaching the young children. They have a great desire to learn. I also love sharing what blessings I have been given through telling other people about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was really scared at first but once I opened my mouth and simply shared what I believe then it instantly became easier. It's not like I am trying to force anyone to do anything, I am just sharing and inviting. I always try to set a good example because there are always new people I am around and this frequently causes them to ask me why I live differently than most people they know. When that window opens and that conversation starts, I just share and invite!
