Hi I'm Heather

I grew up in Washington and joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when I was 19. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated with a bachelors in Animal Science in April 2012, and currently work as a formulation specialist for an animal nutrition company. I love agriculture and cows! I married my husband in July 2009. We love the outdoors, bowling, archery and trapshooting.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it is true. I didn't grow up in the church, but joined when I was 19. I met with the missionaries and took the lessons. A big influence in my life was my husband (which at the time was my friend), we would have question and answer periods in which I would pick his brain about the gospel. In the end I knew it was true after many discussions and prayer. I am so grateful that I made the decision to be baptized, I have been tremendously blessed because of it. I have felt the love of my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I know this is where I need to be. It has made me a better person more focused on the Savior.

How I live my faith

My husband and I were called to do the primary activity twice a month. This includes children ages 8 to 11 in which we meet with them twice a month and do an activity and share a gospel lesson. I enjoy attending church each Sunday and meeting with those in my branch. It is a wonderful time to focus on the Savior Jesus Christ and all that he has done for us. You are also strengthened and uplifted. I also love visiting Sisters in the branch as a visiting teacher. As a visiting teacher we are assigned to another sister in which we visit the sisters that we are assigned. We share a gospel message and assist in any way possible. It is a great way to make friends and have gospel discussions outside of Church.
