Hi I'm James

I am a father of three originally from Tampa, Florida. I am a digital marketing consultant and enjoy a game of frisbee golf.

About Me

I grew up in Tampa, Florida. My wife and I first in Romania and later attended the same university where we courted and we're married. I graduated with a Communication degree in Public Relations. We moved to Salt Lake in early 2012 where I work as a digital marketing consultant.

Why I am a Mormon

I had the incredible opportunity to have a father and mother who found the Church when they were younger, and then found each other. I'm really grateful that I could be raised in a home where the teachings of Jesus Christ were taught. The example of my parents has meant a lot to me as I have faced my fears, doubts and trials in life. Their example of faith helped me choose this path and I don't think I thank the Lord enough for the difference they have made in my life. Their relationship with God and how much faith they had in the teachings of the Church led me to seek my own answers and own relationship with God.

How I live my faith

It was said of Joseph Smith, one of my heroes, that he lived his life in crescendo. I hope that can said of me, that whatever I do, I add value and make it better, and then to do that every day. That begins with knowing what God would have me do in the situations I'm in.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

I chose to serve a mission because the Book of Mormon has helped me come closer to my Savior, Jesus Christ, I wanted to share it with others. What Joseph Smith did to help us in these days connect and understand better the will of our Father in Heaven has blessed my life so much, I wanted to share it with others. Show more Show less

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Our testimony is based on our experiences with the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. One of my favorite parts of being Mormon is that I get to interact and live its teachings. Joseph Smith read the scriptures, had a question, prayed about it and received an answer. His invitation to all of us was to do the same. I can read, I can ask questions, I can pray and I can find answers. Those answers often come softly and quietly to the heart by the Spirit. We call it personal revelation. Your testimony are those answers you have received. It is also your declaration of faith in Jesus Christ, His doctrine, His church and His chosen leaders on the earth guiding us today. What are Mormon Temples used for?

Mormon temples are a place where we perform sacred ceremonies, like marriage. I also enjoy going to the temple to feel closer to the Savior. As part of that process, we make covenants to live by the gospel. In the temple as we make these covenants, we learn about Adam and Eve as a type for our experience here on earth. We can follow their example in relying on the redeeming and sanctifying power of Jesus Christ to return back to the presence of our Father in Heaven. Show more Show less
