Hi I'm Morgan

I'm currently serving as a missionary right now in the New Mexico Farmington Mission!

About Me

I'm from a small town in Kansas and I am a college student studying International Studies. I love to travel and serve. I have had the opportunity to volunteer in orphanages in Ecuador several times. The experiences I have had there have truly changed my life. I am currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the New Mexico Farmington mission and I am loving it!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know it's true. Having the gospel in my life has brought me such happiness and filled my life with a great understanding. It's helped me hold on when times get tough. It gives me hope in a time when we really need it. I grew up coming to church. As I got older, I saw some friends start to get lost in the world and do things that didn't make them truly happy. It's hard to see people that you love making wrong choices. If I didn't have this gospel in my life, I'd be really lost in the world and I wouldn't even know it. I know that following Jesus Christ is the way to true happiness. I don't know the reason for every trial I or someone I know encounter, but I do know that the Lord knows what He's doing. Everything will turn out okay if we trust in Him. If I didn't have the knowledge of this gospel in my life, I would be confused and angry. I know without any doubt, that this church is true, and I can promise that if you open up your heart you will feel it's truth and be filled with happiness and hope too.

How I live my faith

One of the callings I was given was class president for the young women ages 16-18. I'm so thankful I was blessed with that calling. The girls in my class taught me so much. I love these girls and pray for them often. Through this calling I've gained the strength and happiness that comes from friendship and helping one another. I've gained a stronger testimony from hearing theirs and from sharing mine. We've been able to support each other and provide a kind of safe haven from the world. I remember feeling so united and welcome with all of those girls. It made me a stronger and better person.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Yes and yes. Through our Heavenly Father's plan, a man and woman can be sealed together for time and all eternity and can know that their relationship will continue forever if they are true to their covenants. Nothing, not even death, can permanently separate them. I'm so happy and so grateful to know that my family can be together forever and that someday I can be married in the temple and have an eternal marriage. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

No. We know that everyone on this earth is a child of God. We believe that one of the greatest commandments is to love our fellowman. We are taught to love one another. We are taught that we are all brothers and sisters. I know that it is so important to love and serve my brothers and sisters. Heavenly Father is happy when we serve and love one another. He wants all of His children to be taken care of. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Yes, we believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I know He is the Savior of the world. I love my Savior and I want to try to be like Him. Everything He did was for us. He lived and died for us. He showed us the way and made it possible for us to return to God again. He was a perfect example of following the Father's will and loving others. Through coming unto Christ I know you can find joy and healing. Show more Show less
