Hi I'm Leslie

I wear many hats, but my favorite hats to wear are wife and mother of 4 redheads. I love life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am daughter of goodly parents who loved the Lord. I grew up in a small town, bussing to the larger "city" 20 miles away for school. I grew up going to church, going to rodeos, and going swimming down the hill. Life was very simple back then----TV and radio were our only electronics. We rode bikes, played marbles, and slept outside all summer long. I graduated from high school, went to one year of our community college and decided to venture out to New York and be a nanny. I was able to be a nanny to a wonderful, Jewish family. My faith grew leaps and bounds while away from my "constant". Upon returning, I finished my Associates Degree and went on mission to Switzerland. I was thankful to serve the Lord and "thank" Him by my service. I am married to a wonderful man and have 4 redheads! I volunteer for my kids' schools, serve in the church, and once again live in a small community. While the electronic age is here, and my kids are more "plugged in" than I like, we are trying to live simply and that comes by living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Now, I'm trying to be a goodly parent!

Why I am a Mormon

All my life I have felt there was a God who loved me and watched over me. I grew up in a typical Mormon home where mother stayed home and dad worked. I watched my parents live lives of service to their home, church, and community. I have always loved every aspect of the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. One particular teaching was knowing I could pray to a Heavenly Father and He was there! I loved going to church, singing and learning about my Savior, Jesus Christ. Those spirit-filled songs of Jesus would comfort me on scary, snowy roads as a teenage driver, mentally, dark, lonely nights as a new mother struggling with depression, and sleepless nights watching my own children struggle with their faith . By acting upon my faith I have found immeasurable joy in life and fulfillment in a unfulfilled world. The scripture, "I can do all things in Christ" is ABSOLUTELY true!

How I live my faith

My faith is my life. Everything I do is because of my faith. My faith in Jesus Christ determines what I read, watch, and say, how I treat my husband and kids, and how I live and serve among my friends in the community. When I let my faith falter by losing perspective, getting caught up in the negativity this world offers, or giving in to selfish desires, life becomes complicated and (for use of a better word) BLAH!
