Hi I'm Annalise

I'm a Mormon and so many other great things!

About Me

I am a mom of 2 great kids! I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada and currently live in Oregon. I love to do physical things like running, dancing, yoga, gymnastics, and swimming. I also like crafts, especially stamping and card-making. When I am not busy with my children (homeschool) I work part-time as a tennis instructor and have a business through a website selling eBooks about raw foods and natural health.

Why I am a Mormon

My life has become so much fuller since I have accepted the gospel and dedicated myself to living its teachings. Not only do I have more peace through life's trials, but my life has taken on so much more meaning, now that I understand the bigger picture. The Book of Mormon specifically has brought direction in my life. Through studying it and spending time in personal prayer, I feel I now have a real relationship with my Father in Heaven and my brother Jesus Christ. Also, I love the community and support of the ward.

How I live my faith

I live my faith each day by praying with and teaching the gospel to my children. With all I am involved in, I consider that my most important job. Additionally, I serve in my ward by playing the piano in the Children's class (called Primary). I really enjoy this, since I strongly feel that music is one of the best ways to teach children! I also visit a woman every month and encourage her through her trials.

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

When he was alive, Jesus established his church. But it fell away. In today's world He has restored that same church, with the same structure, same ordinances, and same message. It is truly His church with his chosen leaders called to serve us. Show more Show less

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Faith increases incrementally as you make sacrifices and see the blessings come. You really do have to take a "leap of faith" and then you will be rewarded by a knowledge that it was the right thing to do. You can begin by choosing to pray every morning, and you will soon see how that simple choice blesses your life. Whenever you doubt if something is true, you need to try it out and see for yourself. For instance if you read the Book of Mormon, you can ask God yourself if it true or not. Actions such as these will increase your faith and help you feel closer to Him as somebody he understands and loves individually. Show more Show less
