Hi I'm Ben

I serve in a boy scout troop and love to fly fish. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and a father with four children. My favorite activities involve taking my family out hiking and camping. I love to be in the outdoors with my family or with some fishing buddies.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because this church allows me to deepen my relationship with Jesus Christ in ways I could never do on my own.

How I live my faith

Every Sunday I learn from the members and leaders of my congregation in our worship services and classes. During the week I serve with them in Boy Scouts, at the ward garden, and in the neighborhood. In my home I read the scriptures alone and with my family. We talk of Christ and we feel his influence throughout every aspect of our lives.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Every member is responsible to gain an education in the gospel and share what they learn with their families and the other members of their ward congregation. Every member has the right and responsibility to study the scriptures and publications of the Church and to seek and receive inspiration from the Holy Ghost to guide them in their spiritual development. I think this deepens the spiritual independence of church members as they learn through personal inspiration and their study of the scriptures and teachings of the living prophet and apostles who are on the earth today.
