Hi I'm Jessica Constantine

I am a wife, mother, daughter, and friend, and I'm proud to be a Mormon.

About Me

I am the wife to a wonderful, hard working man who takes us all over the country with his job. I’m a new mom who’s trying to “master” the ropes of motherhood and the joys therein. I’m a soccer player, music listener, teacher, crafter, and wishful thinker. I take one day at a time, and try to learn and laugh along the way!

Why I am a Mormon

My older sister has always been my example and role model. Whatever she did I would be sure to do it. When I reached the 9th grade, my sister took off to college and there began to share the deep roots of her testimony with me. As she studied the scriptures and words from our modern day prophets she would send me quotes and insights via e-mail and letters. We had many late night discussions about the gospel, and it was then that I realized that I didn't have to be twenty, thirty, or even fourty years old to be able to appreciate and want to live the gospel; I already wanted to live it. The words of the scriptures filled me with joy. As I immersed myself in the gospel and developed a relationship with my Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ, my personal insecurities that once seemed to overwhelm me began to fade away as if they were a distant memory. Daily I became more confident in the person I am; a divine daughter of our eternal God. I also began to see life with an eternal perspective. I no longer lived just to be accepted by those I was around, but I lived because I wanted to live, and I wanted to make a difference in the world around me. I found a deep sense of purpose and knew that the joy in my heart that I experienced daily was coming because I was choosing to turn my heart toward God. The gospel of Jesus Christ has changed my life in innumerable ways. As I have prayed, studied the scriptures, and entered into covenants with our Heavely Father my life has become more full and vibrant. Trials and hardships still come my way, but it is through my knowledge of my Father's plan that I am able to use the atonement of Jesus Christ to overcome them. I have been blessed with reasurring witnesses that this gospel is true, the strongest of those witnesses being peace.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by allowing it to shape who I am and through letting it influence the way I interact with people. Since I know that we are all children of our Heavenly Father, I try to treat those around me with kindness and love, just like how our Father would treat us. I try to be patient as I teach and learn, I talk about uplifting, worthwhile things, and I willingly serve my family. I rely a lot on my Heavenly Father and Savior, and I pray for their help often. This really has changed my life and helps me to be the Christian I want to be.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Jessica Constantine
The answer is a resounding, "YES!" A husband and a wife can be together forever as well as their families. How is this so? It is possible because the Lord has restored his priesthood power on this earth, or in other words, the power to act in the name of God. All across the world there are temples where in members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints can go to be sealed for time and all eternity by the proper authority of the Lord. This sealing power enables husband and wife and their family to be together for all of eternity so long as they both keep their covenant to honor their marital vows and obey God's commandments. Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Jessica Constantine
I can confidently say that I do believe and know that there is a prophet like Moses alive today. It is one of those concepts that simply makes sense to me- if God restored His priesthood to the earth, He undoubtedly would call prophets to help make sure that His priesthood was being used correctly and that His church and people were moving in the right paths: His paths. I have also felt of the deep love my Heavenly Father and Savior have for me and others, and I know that they would not leave us helpless or comfortless. Modern revelation and guidance from our prophet is one way we receive of God's love, help, and comfort. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell to you there is a God?

Jessica Constantine
The whole world testifies to me that there must be a God. Watching the sun rise and set over beautiful country side and seeing the brilliant stars in the night sky help me know that there is a power higher than me out there. Not only does nature and its raw beauty and function testify of God, but new life also testifies to me that He exists. My lungs, my heart, my mind all function with magnificent ease. These are divine capacities that work together so harmoniously that only God could be apart of their design. Show more Show less

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Jessica Constantine
We can come to know our Father in Heaven through praying to Him. As we pray both day and night, we will begin to understand our relationship with Him more fully- that we are His children and that He cares deeply for us. We can also learn of Him through reading the scriptures. The scriptures are a great source of strength and enlightenment, especially when we ask our Father in Heaven any questions we have about them. As we read the scriptures and pray, we are better able to see God's hand in all the world around us. Show more Show less

Who was Joseph Smith?

Jessica Constantine
Joseph Smith was the man who God visited to help restore the gospel of Jesus Christ on this earth as we have it today. He was an ordinary man with extrodinary faith called to serve the Lord in a tremendous way. He translated the Book of Mormon and established the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints despite vast persecution. He was a man who faithfully obeyed the commandments of the Lord and who worked on overcoming human imperfections just like the rest of us. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Jessica Constantine
Mormons are definitely Christians. In the name of the church we speak of Christ (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints). We also study all the words of Christ in the Bible and the Book of Mormon (which truly is another testiment of Jesus Christ). We believe that Christ is our Savior and that we can become like Him through applying the atonement in our lives. Show more Show less

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Jessica Constantine
There are several blessings that can come into your life when you read the Book of Mormon and Bible. One of the main blessings is that you are better able to understand who our Heavenly Father and Savior are. That understanding really helps you to be able to invite them into your life. Another blessing is that they give you direction for how you should be living. The scriptures give you a clear path to happiness and joy. They also show you how to deal with trials and unfortunate events. This direction is truly heaven sent, especially because sometimes things in life seem like they are beyond our capacity to cope with or understand. Show more Show less
