Hi I'm Jenn

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the mom of a three year-old girl and 9 month old twin girls. We have my husband surrounded! My husband and I have been married for almost seven years. I love anything relating to the outdoors, reading, music, family history, cooking (something I learned to love). My latest craze is fixing bikes.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born as a Mormon, but I've decided to stick with it. I've noticed that when I do the things that the church teaches, and as I try to live my life the way Christ would want me to, I'm happier. I have more peace. And life is really fun. Sometimes it doesn't seem like I could feel any happier, but then I find that I can. Growing up in New Hampshire there were not a ton of other Mormons around. I could easily have chosen to discontinue going to church, but I knew that wasn't what God would want me to do. I saw early on how I could make a difference, and that my example mattered. I saw it was important for me to keep going to church and learn, not only so that I could make it back to Heavenly Father one day, but also to help point others to Him. I've never regretted it. I love being Mormon!

How I live my faith

I enjoy doing what I'm asked to at church. Sometimes I've been a family history consultant, sometimes a teacher of a children's class, sometimes a coordinator for service, even a cub scout leader. Whatever it's been, it's fun and sometimes challenging, but it's always helped me learn.

What is being a Mormon like?

Jenn
Simply put: it's fun! But I will say, it's not just a Sunday religion. I think being a member of the church is a total commitment. It affects the things that you do every day, from the moment you wake up. I read scriptures every day, and pray morning and night, and have prayer with my family in the morning and at night. We also read scriptures as a family, every day. There are a lot of things that you do to become better. It may sound like a lot, but I know that I am a better person when I do these things.
