Hi I'm Kyle

I grew up in Bakersfield, CA. Next year I will graduate from medical school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now I am starting my fourth and final year of medical school. When I graduate I would like to go into Orthopedic Surgery. I've been married for 6 years now and have a 4 year old son and 2 year old daughter. Things I enjoy doing in my spare time include; golfing, hunting, and watching sports.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. As I got older, I lacked an interest in spirituality. There came a point in my life as I began to mature when I was forced to answer difficult questions about who I was as a person and what I wanted my life to stand for. Through a number of profoundly touching experiences, I felt a spiritual flame come alive inside of me. Prayer and quiet meditation allowed me to develop faith that the Savior lives, that He loves me, and that He had a plan for me. If I followed His teachings I knew I would find lasting happiness and true joy. Today, being a Latter-Day Saint (mormon) isn't just a label for, it's who I am. It's provided me with a foundation to build a successful life upon and continues to be a source of guidance and direction in the midst of our troubled world.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best to follow the example set by Jesus Christ. The church has provided me numerous opportunities to serve other people. Right now I am the president of a group of men in our local congregation who dedicate their spare time to helping those in need. I also do my best to teach my children how to live good lives. Through all my pursuits, I aim to become better while helping others understand the peace that comes from having a personal relationship with the Savior.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Mormons believe that each person is entitled to divine inspiration through the Holy Spirit. Gaining a personal knowledge of the truthfullness of the teachings of the mormon church is not based on taking someone's word for it, it's based on finding out for yourself. Learn about the message we are sharing with the world and then pray to a loving Heavenly Father and ask Him if is true. He will hear and answer your prayer through the Holy Ghost. You will feel peace, happiness, and reassurance that what you have been taught is true. These feelings are the tools the Spirit uses to confirm truth to our hearts. Show more Show less
