Hi I'm Jake Tesch

I currently attend Weber State University as a Marketing Major, own a small t-shirt business, have three boys, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for over eight years now. It is amazing how time goes by so quickly! My wife Amanda and I have three wonderful boys who bring so much joy and happiness into our lives. I attend Weber State University as a Marketing Major and own and operate a small t-shirt business called White Field Apparel. I am very fortunate to be a dad, a full-time student, and small business owner; I wouldn't have it any other way! I love reading self-help, marketing/business books, singing, camping, and spending time with my family!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? With all the uncertainty in the world today, it is nice to have one thing that is fixed and constant in my life. The gospel of Jesus Christ gives me that stability. The principles taught within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are indeed the very principles taught by Christ himself when he was upon the earth. One of the church's articles of faith is "We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the gospel are first, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, second, repentance, third, baptism by immersion for the remission of sins, fourth, laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost." This is the basic doctrine that Mormons believe. Mormons have faith in Christ, and that faith prompts them to come unto Christ through repentance and baptism. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's one true church upon the earth. I know that because I have prayed to my Heavenly Father and he has made it known unto me by the power of the Holy Ghost. The cool thing is our leaders encourage us to find out for ourselves if the church is Christ's true church. I would extend that same invitation to anyone wanting to know. Pray. He will answer you!

How I live my faith

What's amazing about the church is that everyone has something to do and no one is paid to do it, it's all volunteer. Right now I currently lead the music in primary (a form of Sunday school). Previous to that I've been a teacher in the primary and previous to that, I taught young men ages 12-14. Teaching the primary songs to these children has really helped me to zero in on how simple the gospel can be and how wonderful and inspiring music can be. It has been a great experience.
