Hi I'm Joseph

I was born in Indiana, grew up in Ohio, and I invite all to come unto Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an eagle scout, love to take pictures (I'm the family shutter bug), and love to make people happy. I enjoy fishing and spending time with my family and friends; most of my fondest memories of yesteryear involve at least one of the previously mentioned things. I also have a knack for technology, and love to learn more about it and its uses. It never ceases to amaze me how ingenuitive people can be in solving problems that arise in their lives. I'm also amazed with all the ways that our Father in Heaven has blessed us and continues to teach us, something I'm pleased to help further as I spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ as commissioned by a prophet of God.

Why I am a Mormon

It's like this, if you are born a prince, and you have all the blessings and oportunities as royalty, wouldn't you like to be like that your entire life? The same thing is true with the gospel. I was born into the church, and because of the blessings and prosperity that I've experienced in the church as I've followed the commandments, I want to stay a member and be blessed my entire life. I am a servant of the Lord, and will be forever. Before I left on my mission, the Lord had given me everything I wanted, so much so that I had no ideas when asked what I wanted for Christmas. I figured that since He had given me everything I wanted, that I should return the favor and give two years of my life to go out and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all who would hear. I am so greatful to have this opportunity to focus completely on the Gospel, leaving behind all other affairs.

How I live my faith

Having recently returned home from serving a full time mission in Arizona, I seek to find the good in life, and to do good to everyone around me. I have a normal job, and try to be honest in all that I do there. Because of my missionary experience, I have been assigned by the bishop of my ward to help the missionaries in my area with the Lord's work. It's a challenge, but always a blessing.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Yes, the Bible has been around since forever, but over the years through dozens of translations and transcriptions, many plain and precious truths of the gospel of Christ were lost. Because of this, many different people chose to interpret the Bible's words to mean different things. Because God loves us, He wants us to have the full and complete gospel to follow and observe. So He brought back the same priesthood authority with the same leadership as in old times. I know that God has called a prophet today, and that he speaks as the instrument of God and teaches us what we need to know. Show more Show less
