Hi I'm Adrian

I'm random. I grew up in two Orange Counties. I once ate 77 pieces of sushi. I love to be goofy. I'm a nerd and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in loving household as an only child. My father was in the restaurant business and my mother was able to stay at home most of the time. I learned about hard work and sacrifice from their examples. We lived in 12 places by the time I was 23. I'm married to my best friend who I can make laugh each and every day, and have 2 terrific little girls who love to giggle and have a goofy daddy. There is nothing I'd rather do than spend time with my family. I can't wait to walk through that door and have those smiling little faces run up and hug me. I'm a software architect. It's my job to make sure that the systems and applications people use every day work the right way, fast and reliably. I love to build things. I used to take apart calculators and put them back together for fun when I was a kid. I now do that on a larger scale. I love to travel and eat, and have been fortunate enough to do a bit of both. One day I'd like to own an animal sanctuary. I have a ton of interests and read more than I'd like to admit to, since I don't consider myself a bookworm.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother joined the church when I was 5 years old. It took me 21 years and my own journey in life to figure out for myself that I should be baptized. From a young age, I knew that God heard and answered prayers and that he knew me as an individual. I have had too many experiences in my life that you could deem coincidental, each one showing me that there is a Father in Heaven that knows what is best for us and loves us to no end. Whether it be a random knock on my door, a promised blessing turned true or a series of events I could not foresee, I have been more blessed than I could ever have imagined. I'm a Mormon because it helps me to be the best person I can be. It gives me the chance to grow in ways I would never have expected of myself. The opportunities to serve have provided me with friendships that will last, with skills and experiences that have changed how I approach life, and with a fuller understanding that Jesus is the Christ, and died so that we may all have eternal life. I can think of nothing better than the chance to live with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I try my very best to emulate Jesus Christ in everything that I do. While I cannot measure up, it is my goal to be a little better today than I was yesterday. Every time I fail, I get up and tell myself to do better next time. I pray for strength and for my family. I pray for those in need and those who I need to love more. I have assisted in organizing and teaching Sunday School lessons, record keeping, coordinating and ensuring church building maintenance and upkeep as well as scheduling of congregational leaders calendars. Every time I can serve is another way for me to grow as an individual, and to help the people around me in a different way.
