Hi I'm Lizzie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of a one year old little boy. I love to cook, craft, play games and shop. I graduated with a degree in Exercise and Wellness and before I had my baby I worked as a Health Coach. I also used to teach aerobics classes, but I decided that being a mom was my number one priority, so, now I just fill in when I can and try to stay as active as possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in what it teaches. Simple as that. I was raised in the church, but I gained a testimony through reading the scriptures and prayer. I prayed to know if it was true and I received an answer through the Holy Ghost. There is no doubt in my mind. I also love how the church focuses on the family. The whole plan just makes sense to me. I like to have an explanation for things and I can find any answers I need. I love the peace that my testimony brings to my life. I love that I can turn to my Savior in hard times and thank him for the good ones. I feel joy knowing that I can live with my family again forever. I also think that the structure of the church is excellent. We take care of our own. There is a welfare system set up and a great support system. We check in on each other and offer help when needed. We know that by helping others and offereing service to the church we are helping the Lord do his work here on the earth.

How I live my faith

I love the story that President Monson shares about how if the Lord needs something done that "Tom Monson will run that errand." We are instruments in the Lord's hands. There are things on this earth that He needs us to do for Him. He blesses lives by giving people a chance to serve others and thus becoming like Him. I would like to say that I live my faith by doing the things that are asked of me and serving when I asked. I also like to think that I live my faith by being an example to friends, family and especially my son. I don't think there is a greater calling in my life than to teach him to choose the right, to be honest and to serve others. Right now I work with the youth. The youth in today's world have it hard. There are so many choices that they are asked to make and they need direction and support to make the decisions that will lead them to the best future possible. I want them to be happy with their decision. We have weekly activities where we have an opportunity to teach them new skills, serve and just have good wholesome fun. I feel humbled that the Lord would ask me to be in such a position. Throughout my day to day life I often ask myself if I am a constant good example to them and I try to do things (music, dress standards, movies, television, attitude, etc) that I would want them to do.
