Hi I'm Elizabeth

I grew up in the U. S.A. I hope to travel and serve around the world as a nurse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Elizabeth. I joined the Church a few years ago. After school, teaching, traveling, and being a missionary, I'm headed back to school to be a nurse. I love being around people and making new friends. I run, workout, dance, enjoy music, and love anything Spanish. I am fluent in Spanish from being a missionary in California and teaching in Mexico.

Why I am a Mormon

My mom grew up pretty religious, she sang in church choirs as a kid, and her mom was a convert to the Moravian faith (a protestant denomination). My Grandma always wanted me to go to church and read the Bible, but my mom, as an adult, didn't find spirituality in organized religion. I hung out with the "good kids" growing up, and eventually got into youth groups with their families. When I started meeting with missionaries it was like I found something I didn't know I had been missing. I love getting to learn more about the Savior and how He has a perfect plan for me, and everyone.

How I live my faith

I'm fortunate, after a couple years of teaching various classes such as Sunday School, I get to do something different, and I get to organize activities for my ward (congregation). We have lots of fun, and love to invite our friends from school and work to join with us. Church activities give us a place to enjoy each others company, to serve, and play, while not worrying about putting ourselves in danger with drugs or alcohol. I also have many chances to help people out. I visit some of the girls from my congregation, bring them soup when they are sick, or chocolate when they are sad, give rides if they need to get some place. Life always seems better when I help other people.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

None of us are perfect, but God, our Heavenly Father is. Living with Him after this life is the best goal, and we need the Savior to help us get there, because we sin and make mistakes. Jesus Christ is perfect and willing to make up the difference between us and Heavenly Father. Show more Show less

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

If you have a friend that is Mormon, try asking him/her. Mormon.org is a great place to find basic information, find a place to go to church, or to ask to meet with missionaries. Show more Show less
