Hi I'm Nathan Mills

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a married father of 4, marketing executive, entrepreneur, former superstar (in MY mind, at least!) athlete, who has more belly and less hair than I'd like!

Why I am a Mormon

It's a lot easier for me to think of this question when framed "can imagine NOT being a Mormon?" I can only answer "NO WAY!". I could talk about all of the many experiences, miracles and moments of spiritual confirmation that I have received - but there isn't enough room in this small text box to do them justice. What I can say here is that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has provided for me a vision in this life that goes beyond the grave. That isn't to say that I can see the future, or that I pretend to know-it all. I readily admit on many subjects that I simply 'don't know' the answers. But I know that our Father in Heaven loves us, that he has a plan for us, and that our purpose on this earth goes far beyond the grave. And because I know that, the way I think of and deal with the challenges and problems I face each day is so much different that it would be without the Gospel in my life. Going through this life without the perspective the Gospel brings is something I wish to never be without. I've never done anything more than any other man to deserve the blessings of the Gospel, and I know God doesn't love me any more than He loves any of his other sons and daughters. I believe He wants all of his children to enjoy those blessings both in this life and the next - the primary reason I chose to service a mission those years ago, and the reason I write these words today. I pray that my testimony, in some small way, may touch the heart of another of my brothers and sisters enough to inspire them to study and pray to know the truth of this themselves. I know this Gospel will bring happiness into the lives of anyone who chooses to accept it and turn their hearts over to our Savior.

How I live my faith

I am trying, as much as I can each day, to make my faith in Christ more and more about who I AM rather than just a collection of my daily actions and thoughts. When my natural inclinations and first thoughts are aligned with, well, what Jesus would do, then I know I am getting closer. I can't say I am there yet...nor do I expect perfection any time soon. But I know that God's desire for me is that I am happy, that I try each day, and that my progress will come through a series of learning and progressing through, and because of, my failings and repentance of sins - not despite them.
