Hi I'm Ross

I'm a husband and father, a pre-med student, and a cancer survivor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am Ross. I enjoy music, school, and spending time with my lovely wife, and our beautiful daughter. I can occasionally be found writing, drawing, or working on a car. I am completing a Biology degree with hopes to soon enter medical school. I like hard work, casual clothes, and good books.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has answered each of my deep spiritual questions about my purpose, my beginning, and where I am heading. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ instills in me a hope of better things to come, even when things become difficult and treacherous. In a world of sinking values, I am able to maintain a level of commitment to my savior by living His teachings and helping others. I find joy in serving the Lord, and peace knowing the plan of our Heavenly Father. The Gospel is everything to me, complete with a knowledge that our families can continue on to a better state not just in this life, but in the life to come. By reading the scriptures, I gain insights about how to live my life, as well as a feeling of certainty that the words I read are of God. This is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, this is his church on the earth, we are led by a living prophet and apostles as designed by the Son of God. Living the teachings of Jesus Christ and his prophets will lead us to happiness and endless joy.

How I live my faith

I visit members of our congregation monthly to share a spiritual message and help with household concerns. I participate with young single adults in my area to uplift and encourage one another. I teach the youth in our church how to enjoy the outdoors, and maintain a strong moral character.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes! Throughout history, God has called men to lead and guide the church, he gives these men authority to act as his mouthpiece on the earth. Just as in times past, God has called prophets to lead and guide the Church of Jesus Christ. Our prophet today is Thomas S. Monson, he receives revelation for the entire church, and teaches us and warns us as God directs. Though our prophet leads the church on the earth, he is not the head of the church. The head of our church is Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He has given the authority to lead his children on the earth to a prophet today. Show more Show less
